As followers of Jesus Christ, the heartbeat of our relationship to God is worship.  Worship is our response to God’s redemptive purposes revealed through the life of Jesus Christ.  The Music and Worship Ministries of Wake Forest Baptist Church exist to help all believers respond with praise, thanksgiving, love, and dedication to the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ.  Bryant’s driving passion is to equip and encourage worshipers of all ages as they experience God through personal and corporate worship.  Bryant’s calling and life’s work is to help individuals discern how God can use their talents and gifts to serve God’s Kingdom and to help them become mature disciples of Jesus Christ.

Bryant began his ministry at Wake Forest Baptist Church in August of 2014.  Since 1985, he has served in six churches as Minister of Music and various other roles, including Youth Ministry and Administration.  For the past 12 years, he also served as Assistant Professor of Music at Bluefield College, a small Christian college in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in Virginia.  Bryant is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University (Arkansas) and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Kentucky).  He has many years of experience as a private instructor of piano and voice in addition to his experience as conductor of various choirs, vocal ensembles, handbell, and instrumental ensembles.   In addition to his primary performance areas of piano and voice, Bryant enjoys playing French horn and is learning guitar.

Bryant has been married to Lisa Nevin Moxley for the past 29 years.  Lisa is a gifted musician who has expressed her calling to ministry in both church and educational settings.  Bryant and Lisa’s oldest daughter, Anna, attends Campbell Divinity School.  Their youngest daughter, Sarah Grace, is  majoring in education at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC.

When Bryant is not involved in music ministry he is probably involved in sports in some way.  He is a lifelong fan of the University of Kentucky and the Cincinnati Reds and enjoys playing golf and tennis.  Additionally, Bryant enjoys cooking, road trips, and leisure reading of biographies and other historical selections.

Bryant is active professionally through various organizations including ACDA, MTNA and the Hymn Society of America.  For the past several years, he served as president of Blue Mountain Performing Arts, a non-profit organization dedicated to provided concerts and other experiences in the arts for the Bluefield community.  He has been active in various denominational organizations and events including the Virginia Baptist Male Chorale, Summer Music and Worship Arts Camp and the Virginia Baptist All-State Youth and Children’s Choirs.

ALL Wednesday night activities are canceled for February 20 due to issues with sewer lines in the building.
