As Wake Forest Baptist Church grows in membership and facilities, the same organization structure that has served us well in the past, will no longer be the most effective. In late 2007, the WFBC congregation voted to put in place an ad hoc committee, the Transition Team, to identify transition issues and make recommendations to address them. The Transition Team has developed a new organization and leadership structure that, we believe, will serve our church more effectively during our growth and beyond. The proposed structure has been reviewed and affirmed by both the Deacons and current Leadership Council of WFBC. At the May, 2008 church conference, the structure was adopted by the members of WFBC.

With the approval of the new structure, we are now continuing the process of educating members of our congregation about the new structure. Please take time to read through the materials you will receive in the mail. You can click on the link below to view a detailed job description of each team. If you would like a hard copy of the job descriptions, some will be available at the church office and in the narthex. Also, several information sessions have been planned to give depth information about the structure. The schedule is listed below. Each session will cover the same information and will give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Please consider attending one of the sessions. No pre-registration is required; just plan to attend the session that best fits your schedule. If you have questions and cannot attend one of the sessions, please feel free to contact us directly.

Sunday, July 20th – 4:30pm – following the church conference – old choir room
Wednesday, August 13th – 6pm – Fellowship Hall

We have scheduled sign up days for September 7, 10, 14 and 17. These will be held Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. You will receive details about the sign up process in a later mailing. At that time, you will be able to sign up for the team of your choice.
