New Member Connections

New Member Orientation

Each new member of Wake Forest Baptist Church is invited and encouraged to attend an orientation class facilitated by our New Member Team. In this orientation class, new members are oriented about the ministry offerings and opportunities that Wake Forest Baptist Church provides. More importantly, they are informed of how they can become involved in the ministries we provide, and they have the opportunity to connect with other new members and begin to form relationships that are vital to fostering a further sense of connection and involvement in the church.

Pastor's Class

Several times throughout the year, our pastor leads a class entitled "What It Means To Be Baptist” that is geared towards guests and newer members. In this class, the pastor talks about what it means to be Baptist, what it means to be a part of Wake Forest Baptist, how we are affiliated with other entities, what our core values are and why, and answers questions that persons have about WFBC. Dates for this will be published in "What’s Happening Now.”

Guest Luncheons

Quarterly throughout the year, the Outreach Team hosts Guest Luncheons as a means of letting our guests know that we appreciate their worshiping with us and choosing to be involved with Wake Forest Baptist Church. The purpose of these luncheons is to provide a setting where our guests can meet the pastor and ministerial staff, members of the church, and others who are new to our community of faith. We also briefly talk about the latest ministry opportunities that are being offered at the church. We simply enjoy a great time of food, fun, and fellowship. These luncheons are held in our fellowship hall which is downstairs below our sanctuary immediately following our 11 am worship service. You will be invited ahead of time if we have your contact information.
