Administrative Staff
Walk into the church office, and you will soon see one very busy lady, always with a smile on her face. Denise has the important job of making sure the church office runs smoothly. She supports the ministerial staff and serves the needs of church members. She is everyone’s “go-to” lady. When she is finished answering hundreds of questions during the day, she shares her time with her husband, Tom, who works for IBM. Their two children, Ashley and Steven, both attend Appalachian State University. We are blessed to have had Denise on the church staff since June of 2005.
Lisa moved to Wake Forest in 2005 after 16 years living in the Washington DC area. She joined the Wake Forest Baptist Church Staff in December 2010. She brings her marketing communications background to her role, publishing our monthly “Grapevine” newsletter and many professional looking communications. Lisa also manages the online pictorial directory, Prayer List, Wednesday Night Supper Reservations, Website, and many other tasks. Lisa has a bright, sport-loving son, Nathan.
Linda Lang, our Financial Secretary, began working at WFBC in April of 1999. She has a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida, Tampa. Upon graduation she became a licensed CPA in Florida, specializing in financial management in the areas of real estate development and resort operations. Linda and her husband, Dean, moved to Wake Forest in 1993 to begin their family, which now includes daughters Chloe and Jessica.
Rodney was raised in Wake Forest. He graduated from Wake Forest High School in 1967. Rodney entered military service in 1969 and served as a member of the Army Special Forces for 20 years before retiring from the Army in 1989. Rodney has served Wake Forest Baptist Church as custodian for close to 12 years. Rodney is married to Phyllis and has three children; Rodney, Jr., Lisa, and Billy. He and Phyllis also have three grandchildren.
