Jeanne Baucom

The favorite part of Jeanne Baucom’s work is staying connected with children (and their parents, too, of course). She loves presenting children’s sermons on Sunday mornings, sharing high-fives and hugs with kids, teaching children about following Jesus, and entering baptismal waters with them, when they are ready to take this step in their faith development.

She loves to hear what children think about God, and feels they often have a closer connection than grown-ups. She is always open to what God has to teach us through the voices and lives of our children. She loves being a part of the WFBC family and a child of God!

Jeanne loves to spend as much time as possible with her own family--husband, Roger, and their children, Ashlee and Jacob. Roger is an electrical engineer, who serves as the Plant Manager of the Haynes Dye & Finishing Company in Butner, NC. Ashlee is a student at Wake Forest-Rolesville High School, and Jacob is a student at Wake Forest-Rolesville Middle School.

Jeanne enjoys rooting for her Clemson Tigers, walking through her neighborhood on a regular basis, water sports, horseback riding, reading (especially children’s books), music (especially singing in the church choir), laughing at anything remotely funny, and re-connecting with old friends. Her all-time favorite thing to do, however, is spending as much time as possible with her own family. These days, this means watching Roger play lots of softball, watching Ashlee play her flute and march at football games and in band competitions, and watching Jacob play baseball. This means she does a lot of “field work”.
