Thank you for your help and for supporting the students in our community during this back to school season!

Session 4 – Compassion Along the Way

Snacks for Essential Workers

Donate store bought, individually wrapped snacks to be delivered to essential workers at Duke Hospital.  We are working out the details of where and when.

You can drop off your donations in the bin on the office porch.  Please label with “Compassion Camp”.

 Neighborhood Prayer Walk

Take a walk through your neighborhood and pray for the people you see and those who live around you.  You can also pray for school this fall and parents who work at home.

Session 5 – Compassion with the World

Welcome House – Make Welcome to Raleigh cards for new arrivals at the Welcome House.  Share some of your favorite places to visit in Raleigh. See the note from Marc and Kim Wyatt, our Missionaries in Residence at WFBC.

Welcome to Raleigh Gift Cards

We invite Compassion Campers to help us welcome refugee and immigrant children and their families to Raleigh. Each year hundreds of families move to the United States from faraway countries. When they arrive ‘Friends of Welcome House’ help them feel welcome. We provide them a temporary place to call home until the refugee agency finds them a place of their own. While our guests at Welcome House we provide them a place to live, a hot meal when they first arrive after a long flight from a faraway place and groceries of foods they like to eat.

You and your family can help us welcome these new neighbors too. You can design a ‘Welcome to Raleigh’ Card and mail it to Welcome House with a grocery gift card inside. Everyone likes to be welcomed. And everyone likes gifts too. Your personalized ‘Welcome to Raleigh’ Card and grocery gift card will help them know they are welcomed and that they will have new friends soon.

Please send your card and gift card of any amount (Food Lion, Walmart, Target or Visa gift cards requested) to Welcome House Raleigh, 4420 Lead Mine Road, Raleigh, NC 27614.

Thank you for helping us welcome our new neighbors in Jesus’ name.

 Your Missionaries in Residence,

Kim and Marc Wyatt, Founders of Welcome House Community Network
