Youth Fellowship

Youth Luau:   The Youth Luau is our annual Youth Group Kick-off!  This is the first event of the year, and the first even to which 6th graders are invited.  It is intended to be a time for youth to reconnect with one another as well as meet new youth group members.  It is a fun, fellowship event in a safe environment at a local pool.  The evening is filled with pool games, food, music, and great, great fun.

Youth Christmas Social:   The Christmas Social is our annual Youth Christmas Party.  This event is usually themed and consists of fellowship, food, games, and a gift swap with a twist:  all the gifts must cost no more than one dollar.  Some of the best gifts are items the youth find in their basements and attics!

Graduate Recognition SonDown/Sunday/Luncheon:  The last SonDown meeting of the year is our annual “Graduate Recognition.”  This is a time where graduating seniors have the opportunity to hear what their presence and leadership has meant to the other youth and be able to express how the rest of the group can get the most out of our programs.  This moving service ends with a “laying on of hands” for each Senior by their peers to bless them as they go out as disciples into the world.  One Sunday each year is “Graduate Recognition Sunday” during worship.  This service gives graduating seniors the opportunity to share testimonies to their wider church family before leaving for the next stage in their lives.  After this service, the graduating seniors and their families are invited to a special Graduate Recognition Luncheon.
